The chairman of Itesiwaju Local Government, Oyo State, Mr Adeniji Adisa, has declared that the people of Oke-Ogun were solidly behind Senator Abiola Ajimobi’s administration.
He gave this declaration in Otu, during the Oke-Ogun zonal meeting of Florence Ajimobi Youth Vanguard, recently.
According to Adeniji who is the coordinator of the group in the zone, “the whole of Oke-Ogun will continue to support the present administration in Oyo State under the leadership of Senator Ajimobi. We can all observe and feel the impact of this administration. There is peace and that is bringing a lot of development”.
The chairman urged the people of the state to join hands with Oke-Ogun people to sustain the governor in office beyond 2015, noting that the state government had just signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Canadian investors on agricultural programme that would provide job for thousands of people.
“Itesiwaju Local Government is one of the two local government areas that have been selected for this laudable programme”, he addedSpeaking at the occasion, his wife, Oluwatoyin, urged the people, especially women to rally round the Ajimobi-led administration so that the transformation agenda could be completed.
“Chief (Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi has done a lot for the people, especially the poor people at the grassroots. Her projects; Widowhood and Aged Clinic and Educate a Rural Child (ERC) are masses-oriented”, she added.
A community leader, Alhaja Ramota Balogun, who also addressed the gathering, enjoined the people to remain focused as that was the only way to make the state a real pace-setter.
The programme was attended by Mr Dauda Kolawole, the state Public Relations Officer of All Progressives Congress (APC); Alhaji Saheed Alaran, the chairman of Iseyin Local Government; Mrs. Mabel Williams, APC women leader and some state delegates.
