I’ve never seen Nigeria as my country – Dokubo-Asari •Says Jonathan, Amaechi, Orubebe others beneficiaries of N’Delta struggle


The last is yet to be heard on the floating of a university in the Republic of Benin by the leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, as several Nigerians still take to the online medium to criticise the action. But never to be outdone by anybody, Dokubo-Asari has also responded to the criticisms, saying he had never seen Nigeria as his country.And perhaps as a reply to those who daily accuse him of having fed fat on the Niger Delta struggle, Dokubo-Asari gave a list of those he referred to as the “chief beneficiaries” of the struggle, which included President Goodluck Jonathan, Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State; Niger Delta Minister, Godsday Orubebe, and the Petroleum Minister, Diezani Allison-Madueke.He made these statements in different posts on his Facebook wall, noting that the struggle for Ijaw identity which he and a few others pioneered had paid off not only for the ethnic group but for the whole of the Niger Delta, South-East, Middle Belt and the Christians in the North.He wrote: “We have given them a voice and a platform to assert themselves.
