It was endorsement galore for Ekiti State governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi’s second term ambition all the way yesterday at the mega rally held in Ado Ekiti to commemorate his third year in office.
The endorsement came from various associations, including market women, trade associations, youth groups, students, Ekiti State Caucus in the National Assembly and the leadership of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the three senatorial districts of the state, among others.
An excited Fayemi, who assumed office exactly three years ago yesterday, told the mammoth crowd that; “I am where the people stand.”
Fayemi, who thanked the people, including former Governor Niyi Adebayo and the founder of Afe Babalola University, Chief Afe Babalola and other well meaning Ekiti people for their support said; “I want to tell you that I am not tired. There is more in the arsenal of development.”
He appreciated Ekiti people for always identifying “with peace, progress and development as shown in the testimonies on this occasion”, adding that his administration would continue to make life more meaningful for them; “This is the essence of the eight-point agenda of the administration.”
