All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North-East geopolitical zone yesterday extended its hands of fellowship to the aggrieved governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and their supporters, asking them to join the political party.
Interim National Vice Chairman, North-East, Alhaji Umaru Duhu, who, along with APC stalwarts, paid a Sallah homage to Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State, said as progressive-minded politicians, they needed to join other progressives in APC to move the nation forward.
Other aggrieved PDP governors are Sule Lamido, Jigawa State; Rabiu Kwankwaso, Kano State; Aliyu Wamakko, Sokoto State; Babangida Aliyu, Niger State; Abdulfatah Ahmed, Kwara State and Rotimi Amaechi, Rivers State.
Duhu said the APC leadership was not only in Government House to pay the governor Sallah homage, but also to extend the hands of fellowship to him and the entire PDP G7.
According to him, the PDP G7 and their supporters deserved to be registered as members of the APC because of their stance in the affairs of the nation and the ideals they were promoting for Nigeria to be given recognition as one of the most democratic nations of the world.
