Nigeria’s Online Mall, Konga.com, has launched a 120,000 square feet e-Commerce fulfillment centre and warehouse in Lagos, believed to be the biggest of any single e-Commerce in Africa.
Konga.com, an online retailer, launched in July 2012 is gradually becoming an online retailer platform that trades on virtually all products.
The online retail firm said it would use its wide selection of products via its marketplace to offer Nigerian businesses the opportunity to come online, and consumers the opportunity to shop online.
In just one year of operations, Konga.com has laid the foundations of a retail, technology and logistics company, building a system by which buyers and sellers can find each other, providing unprecedented levels of retail convenience, choice and customer satisfaction, the firm said.
Speaking at the unveiling, Chief Operating Officer of Konga.com, Mr. Alex Kamara, said: “The new distribution centre is another critical step towards the company’s vision of building a world class online retail business in Nigeria.”
